How does the platform work? Our program uses age-appropriate content, gamified lessons, and real-life scenarios to help students learn by making financial decisions in a safe, virtual environment. Each student can open a virtual bank, earn virtual money, and make choices about spending, saving, and investing. The lessons are delivered through engaging media, including videos, cartoons, and interactive games.
-
How can parents get involved?Parents are welcome to follow along with their child’s progress, review the lessons, and even participate in certain activities. We also provide tips and resources for parents who want to continue the money conversations at home.
-
Can my child catch up if they join later?Yes! Older students who join the platform later can quickly catch up by reviewing earlier lessons and completing the associated tasks and quizzes. While they may miss out on earning interest on their virtual money, they’ll still gain the foundational knowledge needed to progress through the courses.
-
Can students play or compete with friends?Yes! Students can interact with friends who are also using the platform. While healthy competition is encouraged, students should be cautious about following bad financial advice from peers—a valuable lesson about the risks of peer pressure and decision-making.

How did Money Wise Generations come to be?If you’re like me, you don’t have to look far to see the devastation caused by a lack of financial awareness. But it’s not just about money. If we fail to teach our loved ones/youth how to overcome adversity in all its forms, aren’t we reinforcing the belief that life will always be this way? I can’t help but wonder: are our kids quietly thinking the same—that their future will be just as challenging as what they see around them? Will despair push them to make the same difficult choices they witness? I’ll admit, I didn’t fully see the reality of what was happening around me until one day, I saw a family crying hard on the side of the road. Their belongings were scattered, and the two young children clung to their parents, with fear etched across their faces. My heart broke for them. I knew I had to do something. That moment changed my life. I began talking to people—friends, neighbors, teachers, young adults, retirees—and what I learned was eye-opening. It’s not just about financial literacy. We need to teach people how to navigate life’s obstacles, how to rise above setbacks, and most importantly, how to hold onto hope. Only then can we enable future generations to truly thrive. This website is dedicated to you and to that family I saw on the side of the road. Collectively we can make the difference.
-
What if my child struggles with certain topics, like math?We understand that some topics, such as math, can be challenging. To prevent frustration, our system randomly mixes lessons across various subjects, ensuring students don't encounter the same challenging topics back-to-back. This variety keeps the learning experience balanced and engaging.
